I built an architectural career centered around designing fire department facilities. With nearly 30 years of fire station design experience, together with 10 years serving as an elected fire commissioner for my own fire district, I brought a unique perspective to designing fire stations, as well as fire training facilities, 911 dispatch centers, fire district administration buildings, and fleet and logistics facilities.Over the years this expertise expanded to include long-range capital facility planning, feasibility studies, response mapping, property evaluations, seismic upgrades, construction oversight, grant writing, budgeting and financial management, and community engagement in support of voter approved bond measures. Retiring in June 2022, I leave the firm in capable hands managing 40+ active fire and emergency service projects spread across Washington, Oregon, and Idaho.
