My principal role at New Chapter Marketing and PR is as an account manager, tasked with developing marketing and PR strategies to optimise brand awareness and generate sales. Campaigns include using traditional in print PR and advertising mechanisms, as well as digital and social media platforms. My role has also been to source ‘out of the box’ opportunities to increase brand awareness, including brand collaborations and events.I have built strong relationships with industry specialists, including nutritionists, chefs, brand ambassadors and other professionals in order to utilise their profiles to further enhance our client’s brand and product credentials. Establishing cohesive brand messaging for clients, I have also developed advertising content for in print opportunities, social media campaigns and B2B and B2C shows and events.My accounts have covered multi-industries, including health and lifestyle, charity, pet care, film and adventure tourism. Campaigns have focussed on both B2B and B2C, utilising a full mix of media types including in print, tv, radio, digital, social media and sampling.

Reporting to the Managing Director, my role at Gymphlex Sportswear was to help create and implement the marketing plan for the Gymphlex brand, a school sports and teamwear manufacturer operating for 70 years.The marketing plan included working alongside the sales manager and team to develop brand and sales literature (including product photography), sourcing advertising opportunities, website and social media account management and booking and organising trade shows and events. During my time at Gymphlex, working with a third-party agency, I was involved in a full brand refresh, updating the logo, brand messaging and associated assets.As well as implementing the marketing plan for Gymphlex, I was involved in the launch of a ‘made to order’ sportswear range to help bring the product offering up to date and ahead of our direct competitors, whilst also opening opportunities to enter new markets. The aim of GForce sportswear was to provide education and corporate settings with consistent and own branded teamwear and uniforms. Once established, I was tasked with keeping the product offering ahead of the curve and helping support the sales team with brand literature and other assets.

Working alongside the firm’s Managing Director I was tasked with managing the day-to-day advertising and PR opportunities for the firm, which included four offices across Lincolnshire at the time.Sills & Betteridge were keen to engage with the communities in which they served and showcase the services and support they were able to offer. One of my key successes during my time with the company was to set up a free advice clinic for the patrons of the Nomad Trust and Lincolnshire YMCA, a night shelter service for those living on the streets of Lincoln. My other job roles included sourcing advertising opportunities, including local advertising and radio, and arranging corporate event days. I was also involved in the creation of a new website and updating the point-of-sales advertising.
