I am an experienced and passionate fashion designer with a focus on providing unique and custom-tailored garments for women who want to stand out from the crowd. Using the latest technology, including CLO3D software, I can draft, drape, and fit garments digitally, ensuring a precise and comfortable fit every time. Teaching at Made Institute for the past few years has been an absolute joy! Being a Philadelphia-based fashion certificate program, Made Institute has provided me with the opportunity to share my wealth of knowledge and experience in the fashion industry with aspiring young designers. I've had the pleasure of teaching various courses, including creative concept building, patternmaking, and collection fabrication. It's truly fulfilling to witness the growth and development of these talented individuals.

Throughout my time freelancing at BHLDN, I had the opportunity to showcase my expertise by presenting comprehensive concepts and fabrication guidelines to the entire team. To guide seasonal expansion, I meticulously constructed mood boards, color palettes, and fabric choices while staying informed on the latest trends within the bridal industry. Once my initial concept sketches were reviewed by the merchandising team, we collectively chose eight styles for implementation. From there, I proceeded to create detailed tech packs, design embroidery layouts, and source fabrics for each selected style.

Throughout my tenure at Nicole Miller, I led and directed the design team, ensuring their inspiration drew from current seasonal trends and colors. Collaborating closely with the merchandising and sales teams, I orchestrated collection plans that seamlessly aligned with our brand strategy. Elevating our design process, I introduced collection planning boards. For our New York Fashion Week runway presentations, I meticulously crafted sketches delineating various styles categorized by product type. Beyond design, I played a pivotal role in scouting locations, and meticulously selecting models and photographers for our seasonal lookbooks and runway showcases.

Throughout my tenure at Tomas Maier, I immersed myself in the meticulous process of building collections around seasonal inspirations under the guidance of Mr. Maier. Working within the Kering Group-owned company, I was introduced to the world of Italian craftsmanship, concurrently witnessing Mr. Maier's design work for Bottega Veneta. Engaged fully in the design of men's and women's luxury casual garments, often referred to as "time off" clothing, I covered a spectrum from swimwear to leather goods and cashmere.Over the course of my two-year-plus experience at Tomas Maier, I not only developed an appreciation for the European approach to dressing but also for crafting wardrobes that extended beyond special occasions. These were garments designed for longevity, with each collection seamlessly building upon the previous one in terms of inspiration and color palette. The goal was to offer customers an evolving wardrobe, eschewing abrupt trend-driven changes and instead fostering a timeless style that would remain fashionable for years to come.

Bibhu Mohapatra, an incredibly talented designer based in New York City, is celebrated for his runway collections featuring hand-embroidered gowns and luxurious furs inspired by his upbringing in India. During my time as a designer at Bibhu, I sketched designs for eveningwear, ready-to-wear, leather, and fur, translating concepts into stunning runway collections. Responsibilities also included creating embroidery layouts, leading backstage teams at NYFW, and introducing knitwear to the collections. Additionally, I managed fabric appointments, reviewed international collections, and oversaw sample yardage orders for seamless in-house and factory production. This comprehensive role contributed significantly to the success of Bibhu Mohapatra's iconic runway presentations.

During my time at Behnaz Sarafhour, I acquired extensive expertise in the design and development of runway collections for New York Fashion Week. Situated conveniently below the garment district, our studio was a hub for coordinating meetings with factories, fabric mills, and fittings. I took charge of overseeing sample and production manufacturing by maintaining communication with factories. Managing the ordering process for seasonal fabric and trim yardage, I played a crucial role in crafting breathtaking runway collections for New York Fashion Week. A dedicated budget was meticulously maintained for fabric and trims, and I translated style concepts into distinct fabric categories through detailed sketches. Additionally, I conducted thorough research to draw inspiration, guided by the creative director's vision.
