This application used an ISIS front-end to access Oracle and MACCS databases on the server• Helped to implement improved standards and procedures for analysis, design and associated documentation within the department• Coordinated the rollout of the “CAB” client-server application to 350 Mac and NT client workstations via automated deployment• Assisted with user support to resolve both technical and non-technical issues• Coordinated and managed a project to migrate all Discovery Systems applications from a DEC VAX environment to a faster Alpha environment, including managing a cross-functional team of 10 people

• Helped to develop and implement standards for programming, object naming, and release control• Participated in the analysis and design of the DPS (Drug Product Supply) system, using Oracle CASE tools. This was a joint development effort with Oracle Corporation• Implemented various modules within the DPS system• Application DBA for the DPS system. Traveled to Scotland and Switzerland to perform installation of the DPS system at these sites• Participated in the redesign and rewrite of DPS as a GUI application

• Part of a 3-person team to implement a system to archive data from CSFB’s corporate computer systems onto a PC LAN environment using Oracle Server for Netware to access data stored on optical disks• The system was the first example in the UK of Oracle being used to access data via an optical disk “jukebox” changer, and therefore attracted great interest and support from Oracle Corporation• Performed PC server and optical storage setup and configuration tasks, including extensive Oracle database tuning to optimize use of the optical disk storage• Wrote and executed a suite of routines to transfer data to archive, using SQL*Plus, COBOL, and SQL*Loader• Developed a suite of Oracle SQL*Forms programs, and assisted with the development of a Visual BASIC front-end menu and report generator package
