About David Findlay

I am CEO of Rostra Therapeutics Ltd. Set up to develop and commercialise a therapeutic molecular platform out of the University of Strathclyde, Rostra Tx is initially focussing on developing medicines to treat Invasive Fungal Infections.I have a 30+ year career in 'Big Pharma' where I held senior global, regional and local commercial leadership roles in J&J, Glaxo Wellcome, SmithKline Beecham and GSK. I and my teams have focussed on maximising medicine opportunities from early R&D through clinical development, onto launch and through the product lifecycle, delivering niche and blockbuster medicines and accessing patients at a global and local level leading to exceptional revenue growth to maximise ROI. I excel in commercial and portfolio strategy, recruiting, and building teams to deliver exceptional commercial outcomes. I was a co-leader and steering committee member of the DRIVE-AB team, an EFPIA/EU Commission project set up to address the 'broken' antibacterial market through developing new business models. Through my separate consultancy company, Morton Findlay Associates Ltd, I have delivered commercial strategic consultancy services to US and EU pharmaceutical companies, developing market and opportunity assessments, pricing, access and reimbursement strategies and global launch recommendations and plans. My recent therapy area focus has been in the area of anti-infectives to help address the global threat of antimicrobial resistance (AMR). I also have significant experience in many other therapy areas. I present at international conferences and have published on novel business models in leading journals including The Lancet ID, The Journal of Medicine and Ethics, and Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society
