David Fingerhut, Ph.D., HSPP, joined Everside Health as Director of Mental Health Services in August 2018. Dr. Fingerhut offers primary care psychology services and behavioral health consultation at the Indiana Teamsters Health Benefits Fund Medical Clinic. In addition, Dr. Fingerhut directs Everside Health's national approach of mental health services, structuring mental health interventions to meet the client’s mental health needs.Prior to joining Everside Health, Dr. Fingerhut served as a primary care psychologist at the Richard L. Roudebush Veterans Administration Medical Center in Indianapolis. While there, he served as the lead primary care mental health integration (PCMHI) facility trainer responsible for training primary care psychologists and care manager nurses on the delivery of PCMHI clinical services. Before that, Dr. Fingerhut served as the clinical director of the Psychiatry Consultation–Liaison Service at IU Health University Hospital. He continues to serve as an assistant professor of clinical psychology in the Department of Psychiatry at Indiana University School of Medicine.Dr. Fingerhut earned a Master of Science degree in kinesiology, a Master of Arts degree in clinical psychology, and his Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the University of Illinois at Chicago. He completed his behavioral medicine internship in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill; his clinical psychology practicum in the trauma services program at the Edward Hines, Jr. Veterans Administration Hospital; and multiple other practicums, including psychotherapy, health psychology, group therapy, performance enhancement, coaching, assessment and intake at the University of Illinois at Chicago.
