Helping implement the new VET Student Loans program by designing and developing a data mart to support critical business processes.

As part of CBA's Core Banking program, and beyond, I have been working in the Data Watehousing team, integrating and passing downstream SAP based data through a Teradata warehouse and ODS.Managed the decommission of the old Demand Deposit System in service for 40+ years. Coordinating 24 systems to stop sending and receiving data feeds simultaneously.Now working on modernization of Customer Reporting, introducing new levels of customization and near real time delivery.

Major project was as technical team lead on superannuation client migration, a major new client which required migration of all historical transactions, entity details etc onto the platform, from a 'hostile' data provider on a completely different platform.I have also provided SME and model review services to the ODS development and enhancement of existing processes and designs in the data warehouse and platform areas.

Work on their Enterprise Data Model which is part of the data warehouse. Projects included:designing the data model for and project managing the ETL development for the loading of data from Oracle Financialstest manager (data warehousing) during the cutover to their new billing systemdesign and team lead development of a revenue reallocation model within the data warehouse.

Swavley & Associates was a small IT consultancy firm, providing hardware, network infrastructure and software development and implementation to small and medium businesses. I headed up the development team, working on a variety of clients and applications, including data warehousing and reporting, accounting systems – implementation and customization, business process management and support. I was responsible for almost all of the business analysis and design, some of the coding as well as client liaison, internal process development and staff management.

I provided consultancy and training services to a variety of clients, including a data warehouse project for Kellogg Australia, an Executive Information System for Volvo Australia, training for AppleCentre Sydney, Focus Direct Publications and Minet Agricultural Insurance.

Originally employed in technical support, I built the consultancy business for Keyway, an importer of software. I was also responsible for inventory management and installation and maintenance of the accounting system. I left to form Better Data Management Pty Ltd when the company was sold to another software distributor.

During my university degree I served two internships with Arthur Andersen and worked for them immediately after graduating. I was employed in the audit section and spent the majority of my time with the computer audit specialists.
