Key contributor to the Braking Systems Product Line. In my Systems Engineering role, I build relationships with locomotive builders and railroad operators to define and validate brake system operational requirements. I guide the Wabtec Railway Electronics engineering team to document, implement, test, and manage system configurations for more than 75 different customers around the world. I collaborate with other Wabtec product lines and external equipment manufacturers to ensure safe and consistent vehicle operation. I interface with field service representatives to support their efforts in installing and maintaining Wabtec equipment, and document and help manage logistics associated with the roll-out of field modifications.As a System Design Engineer, I developed an algorithm for international applications to detect a train separation by monitoring changes in pressure and flow parameters through a 1' pipe up to 750 meters in length. I used 3 dimensional graphing techniques to improve an algorithm used for flow measurement compensation. In my Project Manager role, I focus on understanding customer needs, and meeting customer expectations. I develop price proposals, manage project schedules and production deliveries, and set production forecast for the product line so our purchasing team can be as efficient as possible.

Secret Clearance.As the System Design Lead, I was the design architect for the F-35 Tactical Data Equipment high-speed, portable, rugged, solid-state memory cartridge program. I developed the Network Daughter Board high-speed interface module. My team won the Smiths Outstanding Team Award for the F-35 program win, delivering the the final product ahead of schedule and under budget.

As Lead Design Engineer, I designed the system-level functional concept for a gigabit FibreChannel interface board for the F-16 avionics. The design included an optical bus, high-speed buffer circuitry, and interrupt handler functionality. In my role as a Principal Investigator, I directed a research & development effort to design and implement a bus interface module. Together with program management support, I executed a licensing and technology transfer agreement for the resulting design with a commercial vendor. As a Technical Proposal Lead, I wrote the winning B-52 mid-life upgrade proposal for a data transfer equipment program worth more than $3M.

As a Project Engineer, I performed market analysis for a 6U high-density storage system, presented a development plan, and won $1.2M in R&D funding. I led a team of 12 engineers to the successful product launch of the "VM3" storage product. In my role as Memory Systems Product Line Representative, I worked together with the Program Office and Marketing to define product line strategy.

As a Senior Hardware Specialist at the Center of Excellence for Document Analysis and Recognition (CEDAR), I directed hardware development of reading machines on projects funded by the United States Postal Service. I created an algorithm that assisted software developers in parsing handwritten text into machine-recognizable characters.

As an Electronics Design Engineer, I designed and simulated the Video Data Processor ASIC, which was a component in the cockpit display electronics of the F-22 military aircraft.
