I am responsible for providing proper management of hazardous waste and non-regulated waste IAW 40 CFR 260. Additionally I collect samples and analyze results, to ensure waste is properly labeled and packaged for transportation and shipping. Consolidate compatible wastes, segregate non-compatible items, test and manage used oil and off-spec fuel and other recyclable RCRA Subtitle C regulated hazardous waste, conduct facility and container inspections, test equipment, track and maintain EESOH-MIS and local data tracking systems, oversee satellite accumulation points, and assist customers as needed. Prior to this I was an Environmental Specialist and Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Team Leader with the 28th Civil Engineer Squadron. I was responsible for conducting Environmental Management System reviews, ISO 14001 audits, above ground storage tank inspections, spill response assistance and assisting with the installations compliance with the surface water discharge permit. Formerly I led an 18 personnel flight responsible for detecting, identifying, render safe and disposal of military munitions to include nuclear, chemical and biological weapons. Furthermore I provided EOD teams in support of aircraft emergencies, base support missions, U.S. Secret Service details and EOD response capabilities to city, state and federal agencies.
