As a writer with deep experience in many genres, I can write however I'm asked to write. As an editor, I can not only edit for mechanics, form, and function, but also for style, and I can apply my fiction talents to fiction editing, offering suggestions on characters, plot, pacing, action, and so forth. Today, many years later, I have a talented artist working on custom artwork for the 300-page core rules, called Amazing Quests!, and the first campaign supplement for AQ!, a 1,000-page monster called Astroscape Zero. In a world where paper-and-pencil RPGs are fading in the wake of computer games, this game is meant for those with imaginations who realize that these RPGs will always be superior to computer games as regards the opportunities for role-playing (until computers are intelligent and can imagine on their own, perhaps). AQ! and AZ are on their way to being published through my small-press publishing house, Epic Saga Publishing, and I'm always seeking artists who are looking for exposure in this creative endeavor.MY WRITING at Prolepsis Games:The thing about designing a game is that it's more than just coming up with a set of rules; you have to use good writing skills to convey those rules as clearly and easily as possible. But when it's a role-playing game, that means a lot of writing. The core rules for AQ! and the thousand pages for the AZ supplement represent more words than I can possibly guess. The AZ supplement in particular is a product of a lifetime of deep interest in science fiction, fantasy, horror, and building great fiction. I visited retail and wholesale locations to do merchandising, train employees and customers, and audit the program's product availability and pricing accuracy. My favorite part of the job was distributing energy-efficient light bulbs to food pantries in Maine. This paper was working on a redesign, rebranding, and relaunch in January 2015. I had already worked very hard to bring quality writing, steadfast editing, classy page layouts, and investigative journalism to the paper, and had a lot more in the works. I began as a freelance writer and later edited the paper and then began doing layout. I brought professional writing, objective journalism, a consistent style, and a cleaner layout to the paper, and worked to streamline all production processes.
