CurrentLuminant, a subsidiary of TCEH Corp., is a competitive power generation business including mining, wholesale marketing and trading owning almost 17,000 MW of generation capacity.Responsibilities and Achievements:- Developed, from the ground up, Luminant’s wholesale market database. Write, schedule, and maintain all SAS processes to update SAS, Oracle, and MS Access tables. This database provides a centralized location of ERCOT market data sourced from ERCOT raw reports, online data resources, and user maintained files.- Design and automate SAS and Excel executive level reports and charts summarizing daily operations and market conditions. Provided delivery of results through MS Outlook or text directly to phone or tablet.- Build Excel VBA applications to streamline database queries and automate report and chart generation. These applications provide for user interaction to customize the results set to each individual’s need.- Support the real time generation operators with Luminant’s fleet Current Operation Plans (COP) submissions to ERCOT. Provide and maintain the Excel VBA application that allows our generation operators to provide hourly generator status and output to ERCOT as required by ERCOT protocol.- Provide for adhoc reporting and query development for multiple groups within Luminant.- Identified as a resource for SAS, Oracle SQL, and Excel VBA support across the enterprise. Provide guidance and training with programming along with debugging existing processes.
