I'm a software developer with a history outside of the traditional trappings, and I'm looking to expand my expertise in industry standard practices. Professionally, I'm part of a small team that acts as both rapid prototypers for proof-of-concept platform additions, as well as end-to-end developers of internally-focused automation tooling.After an undergrad education focused on Java and game engine scripting, I became a self-directed learner for my professional goals. I taught myself Python to script internal tools, and PHP to convert our Apache server into an automatic UI-builder for every tool we create. Along the way, I also led our team in adopting better development standards, such as Git version control and Conda environment management.I'm always excited to dig into a new framework, and to find the right balance for following its particular best practices while also prioritizing long-term readability and reliability.
