Throughout my career, I have delivered record highs in productivity and profitability for established textile and apparel companies who sought to change in order to remain competitive in our global market. These results were accomplished with teamwork and super performances by a diverse cast of supportive and professional managers and employees. My role has been to create cohesive and coordinated teams with the same vision, focus, and direction, and then to motivate, coach, and lead them in accomplishing company objectives. My career experiences listed below are a reflection of my ability to streamline administrative, manufacturing and distribution operations, improve workflow processes, and introduce new technologies and systems. Equally important are my human relations skills which have enabled me to recruit and retain key managers, as well as implement team-building tools that have converted laborers with an entitlement mentality into “co-owners” with an attitude of pride and accountability. For the past five years, through September 1, 2013, I was the Vice President of Operations for Gildan Activewear in Barbados. My global operations accountabilities included Customer Service, forecasting, inventory control, third party warehousing (all aspects of 3PL management), transportation and logistics, IT, and planning and scheduling. It was the highlight (so far) of my wonderful career, but I am now back in the USA ready for my next exciting career challenge.
