- Surveyed over 50 different buildings in Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Queens to observe and report on HVAC equipment used, their conditions, and frequency of maintenance on these systems- Created preliminary scope reports detailing project deliverables, conditions of electrical and mechanical equipment, evaluations of electrical infrastructure in order to convert to non-fossil fuel alternatives, and estimated project schedule- Researched engineering companies in the NYC Metropolitan area to discover average costs and savings of implementing emerging HVAC technologies such as Split Terminal Heat Pumps- Recommended Energy Efficiency Measures (EEMs) for various properties after analyzing costs and savings of measures based on building square footage, equipment efficiencies, and rate of returns in Microsoft Excel- Redesigned energy calculations process by creating new energy saving equations from online research and engineering knowledge for use in building performance reports for NYSERDA’s FlexTech Program- Wrote over 100 NYSERDA Flexible Technical Assistance reports detailing property descriptions, building equipment and conditions, annual utility information, and proposed EEMs which saved an average of 8% of the property’s annual utility usage- Collaborated with other engineering personnel to identify which sections of report writing were slowest and devised new methods to decrease process length by 10%- Managed team meetings to discuss improvements to calculations from comments by NYSERDA FlexTech report reviewers and new sets of proposed rules to the implementation of NYC Local Law 97
