My role as YDO is to support the Burnie Council’s active and visible role in facilitating and promoting community, cultural and recreational development initiatives that meet the diverse aspirations and needs of Burnie’s young people.

I develop and implement community-based strategies, activities and initiatives targeting children, youth and families to help build a strong and cohesive community.I'm responsible for delivering community development initiatives of Council and coordinate food security activities within the Devonport Food Connection, both Council specific initiatives and overall project activities such as promotion, partnership liason, evaluation and managing requirements of the funding agreement.

Systems administrator and lead developer

Role : Manager, Systems Administrator and Lead Developer - Managed hosting servers, various flavours of Linux, shared, VPS and dedicated.- Manage key product evaluations and improvements as they relate to the server environments- Development of operational procedures with business and client environments- Supervised backup and disaster recovery operations- Analyze, log, track and complex software and hardware matters of significance pertaining to networking connectivity issues- Coordinate and monitor troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose common system problems with the business and client servers- Coordinate testing, upgrade and configuration of system files and services. Ensure changes are in accordance with appropriate operating procedures- Performed on-site and off-site support and training, both one on one and groups.- Consultancy and implementation for clients on hosting requirements for various applications- Consultancy and implementation for clients on the best way forward for their web presence and budget- Quoting on budgets and time required for completion of client solutions- Custom software implementations on client VPS/Dedicated (eg: document and video conversion, load balancing, zope installations)
