- Manage the requirements, implementation, and delivery of core technologies in TrendMicro solutions from end to end.- Define requirements for new versions of core technologies based on requirements of current threat landscape, business units and customers.- Work with engineering to drive requirements in each release.- Work with business units to manage the implementation of core technologies.- Provide evidence of the effectivness of the core technologies to business units.- Evangelize internally and externally the benefits and capabilities of the core technologies to other product managers, marketing, support and customers.- Work with service teams to ensure continued benefit and operation of the core technologies.

- Conduct external benchmark reviews every quarter include Trend's core technologies such as anti-virus, anti-spyware, anti-spam and URL Filtering (plus Web Reputation) with independent 3rd party testers such as AV-Test.org andVeritest (Lionbridge).- Resolve project conflict from stakeholders and ensure project schedule meets every milestone.- Conduct the phone conference (webex web conferencing) with stakeholders to discuss project issues and deliver presentation.- Do the survey on security industrial include the latest update from Trend's competitors, new type of reported threats.- Attend security-related international forums (ex. Virus Bulletin for virus, CEAS for spam) and domestic ones (ex. Information security) to adopt the latest update concerning security threats.- Do some data analysis to point out the trends of our performance. And give some comments and recommendation to come out the final report for quarterly executive meeting.- All improvement actions from core tech teams are tracked and updated on a monthly basis.

- Linux base products sustaining, provide prompt and good enough solutions to handle customers’ requests and feedback. We have a communication platform to realize what our customer want and what difficulties they are facing. Sometimes we conduct phone conference, live conference or onsite to satisfy customers' request.- Handle product's issues from different Linux distributions, such as RedHat (RH9/RHEL2.1/RHEL3/RHEL4), Miracle (2/3/4), Aisanux(1/2), TurboLinux (7/10), SuSE9, Debian3, etc.- Linux kernel debugging. Use LKCD/crash utilities to analyse kernel dump file.- Network packet analysis. Use sniffer to analyse packet flow to fix customers' network problems.- Documentation of all customers' case feedback to accumulate customers' experience on so-called solution bank.- Internal project development, use ASP/MS-SQL to build up employees's effort self evaluation system.- Network anti-virus appliance (Linux embedded system) development. The product named NVW (Network Virus Wall) is designed as a network bridge. It can focus on protecting the internal users from threating outside LAN. And even it outbreak internally, the damage can be controlled within the some specific area.- Co-work with hardware vendor to integrate USB, LED, network drivers and related core modules into product.
