The Digitization of the Manufacturing Process.At LasX, we deliver more than just a laser, we develop the process to leverage the digital nature of the laser using a galvanometer (steered laser using mirrors) over a target in motion at production speeds. The digital nature of the laser allows us to deliver an “order of one” with no change over. We are developing processes that are combined with material handling, digital printing and robotics. We see the work cells being squeezed into a single streamline process. LasX is engineering to keep the process digital and the ability to change instantly. Lasers can have an impact across many industries.All my career, I have been spent concepting, developing, building, and leading the digitization of the manufacturing process in a variety of industries. As a degreed Electrical Engineer on the precipice of the personal computer revolution, I have worked to network the islands of automation on the production floor to a synchronized system. I have been responsible for leading teams targeting the entire plant floor beginning from the Internet all the way to shipping the product. Then, there is always to selling the systems. My career objective is to leave a mark in streamlining the way things are manufactured.

Corrugated Supplies Corp (CSC) is a corrugated sheet feeder to its box customers. The independent box plant requires short lead times with a custom order mix. I was able to lead a team of software engineers responsible for developing its Manufacturing Systems leveraging web/ internet technologies. ActiveX touch-less deployment client systems with real-time controls for "queue" based manufacturing systems. Included scheduling, queue management, inventory control, finished good inventory, trailer loading, and more. The system architecture is a web client / server allowing for easy expansion. Lead times shrunk from 3 days to 18 hours. All order were made to order and process ran with no finished good inventory. This system is still running today helping CSC expand to several plants and continues to grow, even today.
