The Abington Group is an Engineering Prime Contractor serving the Utility & Industrial Construction sectors. My role was that of Contract Project Manager for the construction and installation of four Liquid Gas Compressor Stations at four sites in three states. This involved all the associated site work, construction of the various compressor and control buildings, our shop fabrication of client supplied materials, on-site fabrication/installation of all piping and equipment, coatings, DOT and FERC document controls, QA/QC document controls as well as all project scheduling and manpower oversight. The contract was for $42 million and to be completed with 14 months.

At the time of my hire, Spaulding & Slye was establishing an institutional division within their construction group, assisted by the acquisition of an outside consultancy to help establish the network and client base required. I was hired to head up this group. Within a short time it was determined by management that this direction was not in the best interest of the company and the group was eliminated. I was placed in charge of relocating 11 labs for W.R. Grace in a 4 month time frame. We were successful in doing so. I left to establish my own firm, PcA, Inc.
