I teach on the MSc programme in Historic Conservation - and the undergraduate programme in Philosophy - at Oxford Brookes University, where I've been employed as a Senior Lecturer for nearly a decade. Prior to that I worked in various roles across the historic built environment - mainly at English Heritage, and also at Alan Baxter Associates, the Victorian Society and the Royal Borough of Greenwich. My academic background is in Philosophy; in 2023 I completed a PhD at King's College London on the ethical and conceptual aspects of built heritage and its conservation, and I continue to research and publish in this area. As a side gig I give architectural and historical tours of London, for Open City, Architectural Dialogue and others.
