Main Roles:· Providing product training for agreed Autodesk products (Inventor, Inventor Publisher, Vault, Showcase) either at the client site or within Cadline’s offices.· Providing pre and post sales support (including customer presentations and creating proposals) customising application software to meet customer requirements.· Providing ongoing product support and promotion in conjunction with the sales and technical teams. This involved the design, manufacture, assembly and characterisation of sub-millimetre components to within micron tolerances. Products regularly include highly novel materials which create many production challenges and require innovative solutions to be successful. I am the sole engineering support for this group of 17 members. Main Roles:· Working with customers to translate requirements into engineering specifications and technical drawings.· R&D projects leading to manufacture of new equipment providing the group with new capabilities or solving specific problems with an engineered solution for production/assembly of components.· Project manage customer requests from concept stage through to delivering of the products. This was done by leading a multidisciplinary team of 5-10+ members making sure they delivered the targets on time and to specification. This involved planning and scheduling work loads, updating these and communicating with both the team and customer.· Mini placements in all areas of the group including precision machining, laser machining, material science, thin film coating, assembly and characterisation. Gained extensive knowledgein design for manufacture in a business constrained environment. Problem solved, coming upwith novel solutions for manufacturing and design problems, not only on my own projectsbut also on other engineers projects. Gained a months extension to my contract based on myperformance.
