Assists in planning, design, and execution of LVC events for I MEF areas of responsibilty.

o Supporting Arms Virtual Trainer (SAVT) instructor and site lead at Camp Pendleton, CA. o Train Joint Terminal Attack Controllers (JTAC), Joint Fires Observers (JFO), and Air Officers in the employment of close air support (CAS) and surface fires in support of maneuver.o Maintained and updated SAVT that includes 3 networks, 16 windows and 2 Linux computers, 12 thin clients, 4 student devices, 2 servers, and 3 video projectors and associated software.o Translated user training requirements into virtual scenarios utilizing Joint Semi-Automated Forces (JSAF) that include air, naval and indirect fires as well as friendly and enemy maneuver.o Create training curriculum and scenarios to support student progression through the Tactical Air Control Party (TACP) training and readiness (T & R) program.o As site lead submitted monthly training and system status reports, managed training and manpower schedules, conducted system inventory, and ensured all contract requirements met.o Provided SME and technical support for integration of SAVT into LVC-TE in support of MAGTF training requirements during proof of concept and LSE-14 exercises.o As test engineer and SME for program, created test procedures and conducted testing and government acceptance for multiple system updates, technical refreshes, and improvements.

o Served as Officer in Charge (OIC) of seven aircraft detachment during combat operations in Iraq.o Participated in multiple extended deployments to Asia, the South Pacific and the Middle East.o Personal Awards: Meritorious Service Medal with gold star, Strike Air Medal with Numeral “9”, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal. o Maintained Top Secret security clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI). Current Secret clearance active.o Directed the execution of the majority of the rotary-wing close air support (RWCAS) sorties flown in support of exercise Mojave Viper (Iraq pre-deployment training). Squadron tasked with supporting 60% of the RWCAS missions, but supported 88% of the missions over two year period.o Responsible for planning and executing 17 million dollar training budget to maximize units effectiveness and training readiness. o Planned and coordinated comprehensive aviation and ground training program for squadron with 300+ Marines assigned.o Supervised the logistics of safely and effectively moving 450 people, 30 tons of equipment, and 27 aircraft for multiple deployments aboard ship and in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. o Managed and oversaw multiple aviation safety programs. Responsible for maintaining detailed and accurate records documenting compliance with all directives and regulations. o As Aviation Ground Training Officer, implemented new self-paced program of instruction for new AH-1W and UH-1N pilots that reduced the time to train by an average of 21 days.o In charge of the creation and implementation of computer based training (CBTs) into the fleet replacement squadron (HMLA/T-303) for the AH-1W and UH-1N.o Contracting Officer’s Technical Representative (COTR) for flight simulator contracts and computer based training contracts. Responsible for ensuring all contracted services were provided in accordance with contract.

o Held advanced flight leadership and instructor designations in AH-1W to include Forward Air Controller Airborne Instructor, Night Systems Instructor, and Weapons and Tactics Instructor. o Served two tours as instructor pilot at HMLA/T-303 (1997-2000 and 2008-2010).o Functional Check Pilot in AH-1W.o NATOPS Instructor and member of Standardization and Instrument flight boards. o Over 3900 mishap free flight hours.

o Instructed forward air control and fires integration for the Marine Corps Combined Arms Exercise (CAX) Program at the Marine Air Ground Task Force Training Command in 29 Palms, CA. o Responsible for classroom, practical application, and live fire instruction to joint terminal attack controllers (JTACs), air officers, and fire support teams in the safe and efficient integration, observation, and control of fires.o Ensured emerging close air support tactics and procedures were implemented and executed during each CAX by maintaining close liaison with Marine Aviation Weapons and Tactics Squadron One (MAWTS-1).o Instructed regimental, battalion, and company staffs on procedures to streamline and maximize the efficiency of their fire support coordination centers.o Instructed classes on the Marine Air Command and Control System and doctrinal aviation employment. o Directed comprehensive review and rewrite of aviation classes and field events to conform to standardized program of instruction.o Utilized the Deployable Virtual Training Environment (DVTE) to instruct JTACs and forward observers on close air support and call for fire procedures. o Published multiple articles in various publications on the execution of close air support and aviation command and control.o Served as exercise controller for 22 dynamic live fire combined arms exercises training over 75 JTACs, 44 air officers, and 80 company fire support teams.
