Responsible for developing a diverse range of medical imaging devices and applications according to an ISO 13485 certified quality management system.

Team lead on a DARPA I2O project in which we developed a large-scale open-source interactive web based application (http://influent.io). I have been instrumental in developing a robust, maintainable, and extensible architecture for this application and ensuring that the project team works in an efficient, motivated, and coordinated manner. I oversaw this project from a proof-of–concept to being deployed in several key government facilities.

Technical lead on a large-scale project. This involved having meetings in both the United Kingdom and Japan in order to gather requirements for the project. I was heavily involved in transforming these requirements into estimated pieces of work, and developing an architecture design for the system that was robust, maintainable, and extendable. I was able to consistently deliver software releases on required dates and with all agreed features.

Lead the development of a bespoke advanced medical imaging application for an external customer. Through extensive requirements gathering, various estimation techniques, communication, iterative development and progress tracking, I was able to develop a full-featured application that exceeded the customer’s expectations.

Received Scottish Enterprise Proof of Concept award for project entitled “Hands On: Three Dimensional Haptic and Multi-Sensory Computer Applications for Creative Processes in Applied Arts and Design”. Performed a wide variety of duties including software design, managing and organizing the research and development team, IP application and protection, market research, and commercialization.
