As a Production Shift Manager, I am responsible for smooth running of our processing and production areas, focusing on results by driving coaching using GROW model as a structure and mentoring behaviours that help our factory reduce unplanned stoppages and deliver continuous excellenceI’m experienced in Risk Management regularly looking ahead at potential risks, evaluating probability and impact and putting actions in place to mitigate.• By developing my team in LEAN methodologies, we were able to create and implement cleaning standards enabling a reduction of Minor Stops by 25% on our TPM Pilot Line• My work on reducing sources of contamination and creating centre lines and a tagging system reduced minor stops by a further 20%• Using facilitation and promoting everyday problem solving helped us reduce overall Unplanned Stops on pilot line by 25%• I was able to promote best practice sharing, utilizing these learnings to other production lines and developing other teams to reduce unplanned stops on the second line by 20%• I worked closely with Education & Training pillar using a devised skills matrix and development plans to close off gaps in competencies, upskilling operators to the desired competency of 90%• Using everyday problem solving I was able to reduce unplanned stops by 90% that were caused by an issue on our robot palletiser, involving a maintenance discrepancy• Helping my organization with succession planning, I devised a development plan involving a new operator and assigning him, a soon to retire, specialist operator as mentor, ensuring a fully trained and experienced replacement is available for the retiring individual

Focusing on project management I liaised with all stakeholders to agree technical feasibility when completing a development plan that is aligned with key project requirements and milestones including completion of packaging/transport trials and performance tests• I worked on new packaging development aligned with the development, installation and commissioning new packing equipment hitting the production targets in a “vertical Start Up” ensuring that product changes were on time coordinated with a relaunch of the brand• Risk Assessments – I use probability v impact to fully assess the risk and take action accordingly. In one instance it required an extra £40k spending on 2x shrink tunnels because the Packaging Technology to run without them was not proven enough to risk significant Line Performance and Quality problems on a major product relaunch• Carried out successful Packaging Projects in - Vertical & Horizontal Form Fill Seal, Pre-Made Plastic & Paper bags and sacks, Bag-in-box & Folding Cartons, Corrugated Packaging and Shrinkfilm• Facilitated creation of Packaging Specifications in SAP and Palletisation Specifications using CAPE pack• Created Packaging Quality Checks and Grading Standards aligned with product standards to reduce Packaging Customer Complaints by 20%• Conducted Supplier Audits - Nestle Food Safety and Legal Compliance auditing program
