Responsible for the day-to-day operations of all facility support systems including engineering, capital projects, utilities, environmental compliance, and facility upkeep.• Managed all aspects of facilities maintenance and support for a processing complex in operation since the early 1900’s. (Roofs, plumbing, electrical, elevators, 32 fork trucks, outside grounds, rail spurs, fire protection, fire alarm systems, and perimeter security, etc.)• Oversite of the operation and maintenance of all plant systems (steam, water cooling, compressed air, waste water treatment, HVAC systems, gas systems, and energy monitoring)• Performed troubleshooting and provided technical support for complex processing equipment such as vacuum evaporators (MVR and TVR), spray driers, centrifuges, and 38 coffee extraction vessels.• Responsible for all on-site contractors performing work.• Safe operation, maintenance, and control upgrades of a biomass process steam boiler consuming up to 60,000 pounds of coffee waste daily. (205 million btu capacity)• Resolved many legacy environmental issues with the TCEQ regarding CO, NOx, and PM emissions.• Safety oversight of two CO2 decaf processes operating at pressures over 4,200 psig capable of outputs of up to 240,000 pounds daily.• Environmental oversight of a Title V plant (Air, storm water, waste water, SARA Tier II, Boiler MECT Program Reporting, etc.)• Energy/ Nitrogen Procurement (Long term electric, gas, and liquid nitrogen contracts).
