Senior aeromedical services consultant for 4000 academy cadets, 350 pilots. Services included:• Senior reviewer and validator for over 1,000 graduation physical exams annually which included approximately 200 pilot waivers per year• Flight and operational medicine services to cadets and active duty military beneficiaries• Preventive medicine surveillance and health promotions activities for a complex university and military training environment• Public health program management and services for the entire beneficiary population of 171,000• Occupational medicine/industrial hygiene/contingency response• Accession waiver authority and chief of medical standards for AF Academy cadets, responsible for review and disposition of 350-500+ cases per year of applicants and cadets with medical issues not meeting military medical standards. Advised senior AF Academy leadership on cadet medical issues and complex cases. Responded to Congressional inquiries and networks with senior DoD policy-makers• Senior medical advisor for active duty air force deployment availability chaired Deployment Availability Working Group. • Medical advisor to the 12th Air Force (Air Forces Southern) Commander with medical oversight for all Area of Operations aeromedical and medical clinical activities• Responsible for all aspects of the air component health service support for 32 Central/South American and Caribbean countries Directed real-world contingency and peacetime medical operations to include plans, exercises, deployments, logistics, preventive medicine, force protection, and engagement activities to meet United States Southern Command Commander objectives• Manager and oversight for Operation UNIFIED RESPONSE for Haiti which provided 107 personnel and 98 short tons of supplies for direct support of over 1850 patients• Medical oversight ensured vital Emergency Medical Support capabilities available for Chilean earthquake relief of 86 personnel and 64 short tons within 72 hours• Provided routine flight medicine and flight operations support to the 355th Medical Group

• Provided command and control for all echelon above brigade medical support for US and Coalition forces across the Combined Joint Task Force -101 area of operations which included $45M in real property and over 1100 joint medical personnel for the US level III medical facility, seven forward surgical facilities, and Korean, Jordanian, and Egyptian medical facilities• Provided direct personnel and supply support to the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan healthcare infrastructure development and medical capacity building• Command oversight provided direct support to 900+ aeromedical evacuations of 2500+ patient admissions; 1300+ major surgical cases to 700+ trauma patients with a 98% survival rate during the 14 month tour• Initiated first-ever Contingency Aeromedical Staging Facility at the Level III facility greatly enhancing theater aeromedical evacuation support• Conceptualized, initiated, and executed first-ever International Bagram Medical Training Program to support the local national healthcare personnel and system• Negotiated and finalized with local contractors a $1.9M facility upgrade and $2.1M facility maintenance contract

• Directed, integrated, and oversaw for 12 Air Mobility Command bases across the US the clinical, aeromedical and disease prevention programs• Led all activities of five senior area specialists and their staffs for all Air Mobility Command aeromedical clinical services, aeromedical evacuation clinical validation, bioenvironmental engineering, public health, and medical readiness• Clinical medical director for all Air Force Critical Care Transport Teams and Contingency Aeromedical Staging Facilities• Functioned as the Medical Corps Chief for Air Mobility Command• Clinical expertise utilized to directly support wartime wounded as Global Patient Movement Requirements Center validating flight surgeon• Provided aeromedical evacuation education to new flight surgeons at the Aerospace Medicine Primary Course• Forged clinical effort to standardize a much needed pain management protocol of aeromedical evacuation patients, significantly improving quality of care and patient safety• Directed, supervised and executed a complete revision of the Contingency Aeromedical Staging Facility program to include Active Duty personnel within 90 days• Restructured the Critical Care Air Transport Team working group and improved response to the rapidly changing needs and requirements during wartime operations

• Clinical aeromedical evacuation validator for over 2800 patient movements (>200 urgent/>400 priority) in 120 days from the Joint Patient Movement Requirements Center for both the Iraq and Afghanistan theaters of operation• Conceived, authored, and implemented US Central Command’s through-regulation policy via the aeromedical evacuation system decreasing patient return to the US from weeks to days and significantly decreasing the workload to Landstuhl Regional Hospital in Germany
