I am actively pursuing my goals; independence, and, provide a broad base to build a larger agency from and maybe attract other like-minded individuals to pursue their own dreams/passions. I care deeply of the work, the client and their security, safety, and knowledge of their own risks. I am a servant to the client and greatly appreciative of those who allow me to serve their needs and wants. Being a bit of a Maverick, but respecting the insurance background my family has been active in for 5 generations, proves my dedication.I have developed several niches as a result of my vast experiences: Marine insurance; I owned/managed a claims TPA specializing in Boats, Yachts, and marine manufacturers, dealers, repair yards. My role as adjuster, manager, risk consultant, senior underwriting consultant means I have been actively involved in the industry and understand the subject. I helped write policy language and understand it's implications. Collector, classic and custom vessels, vehicles and the commercial customers that serve them. I first managed claims for home, auto, business including risk management services. All vehicles and boats are a passion of mine, having restored many.Restaurants, Real Estate offices, Farms and Bee Keepers and many other niche's have been developed over the 30 years in the business. Having a "specialty" level of interest in many areas, to insure & protect clients forces me to learn every aspect of how to insure correctly and package exposures for the best coverage possible with pricing a secondary feature. I am very grateful for the experiences offered me through hard work and dedication to serve.

This was foundation for founding Marine Claims Services, the eventual TPA for all programs. SOLD this before the industry for adjusters tanked to focus on my life goal of consultative agent work.I then started Lighthouse Insurance Consulting to focus attention on independent investigations, Marine Surveying, specialty automotive appraisal and other services for the insurance industry. Leaving the General Adjustment Bureau to manage a claims and loss control unit for a MGA that managed claims in-house for personal lines and commercial marine accounts. I was asked to build it from a simple agency claims unit into a multi-directional foundation of key risk coordination with agency management and carrier claims and risk management contacts to promote a centralized post. It was developed into the TPA that followed.

Bakersfield, Fresno, Then Modesto

I began my insurance experience as a field adjuster, multi-line with this company and worked to hone my craft. I built my experience and moved from Bakersfield to Fresno in a move that would solidify my passion for the business. From Fresno I moved back to home turf and helped build-rebuild the Modesto location into a high producing unit. I became a highest producer in Northern California for the last two years i was there before the marine insurance opportunity came.

U.S. Coast Guard - Several Ships & Locations, Exited @ Group Monterey, Ca

Coming down from Alaska assignment on-board 182' Buoy Tender named Ironwood in 1985, I began serving the Group Monterey and we became a highly decorated unit for the food we put out. Local mayors, including Clint Eastwood, met there monthly and we had opportunity to work at local public dining facility's (restaurants). I toured up an down the coast filling in for cook's aboard the 95' & 82' patrol vessels, in San Diego, Morro Bay, Monterey, SF Bay and others. I decommissioned several white-hulled patrol ships (82'and 95'). I was the ship's cook, the EMT, and the Sharpshooter on bridge wing's because I could shoot straight and earned a permanent Cutter-man pin for collective sea assignments over 5 years to go along with numerous honors. I was the first from CA to Cape May, NJ training, as Alameda training center was closing and earned the first Physical Fitness award (CA graduates) at Boot Camp (Y-111), set the 50' Freestyle swim record. with few regrets, the experience given by USCG is something highly recommended for young people, interested in service to their country while seeking adventures beyond expectations.
