David Gidron - David holds an MA in Social Psychology from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, graduating with honors. Colonel (reserve) IDF.After leaving university, David worked as a Social Psychologist with the Ministry of Labor and Ministry of Absorption working with the Ethiopian-Israeli community. In 1989 David joined the IDF as an Organizational Psychologist filling a number of positions in a variety of field units and in 1995, moved to the Home Front Command as an expert in the area of emergency population behavior serving as head of the Civil Emergency Behavior Branch. David led the professional response during numerous emergency situations in Israel and abroad and was a member of the IDF rescue team in Turkey, Greece and Kenya. Since retiring from the IDF, David has been employed as an emergency management consultant in local councils and private and public organizations in Israel and around the world, and has conducted training seminars in the U.S.A, Canada, India and all over Israel. He was a senior researcher at the Gertner - National Trauma Center and has published a number of professional articles. David was the National Director of nine resilience centers in the north and south of Israel, operated by the Israel Trauma Coalition in collaboration with the ministries of Health and Social Services.For the last seven years, David has led the JDC-Europe community resilience program which assists Jewish communities in Europe to map and strengthen their resilience by developing their core capacities. He is also responsible for coordinating the JDC support for communities hosting Ukraine refugees in Central and Western Europe.He is also a consultant to the Israeli Emergency Agency, government offices and local authorities David is a senior consultant for Oz global in the field of digital devices and healthSpecialties: diigital psychology, emergency managment, resilience, prepardness, organizational and community development
