Highly motivated, technical all-rounder capable of planning, constructing and operating large scale video/lighting/audio systems for live events/activations/exhibitions/installs.With over a decade of intensive full-time experience in the industry I have developed a strong work ethic as well as a keen understanding of how a team will work most efficiently on site; thus I have worked as technical manager on many large scale events for brands such as Warner Bros, Universal Pictures and Coca Cola. My experience lies largely on the boundary between video and lighting, meaning I have learnt to take an enthusiastic and creative approach to achieving events that aesthetically dazzle and means that I go out of my way to stay abreast with new technologies. My fascination has shifted over the last few years from lighting design to creative video systems, namely projection mapping and LED. I now have an in depth knowledge of the techniques, process, software and hardware involved in bringing this exciting technology to the live events industry. This ranges from simple vertex mapping to complex 3D mapping including UV mapping of 3D assets. I specialise in the d3 media server and it’s workflow. I feel my biggest strength is balancing my creative drive with a shrewd understanding of the importance of pre-production, organised planning and well documented design. Finally. I understand how important being a decent person onsite/in the office is. I always strive to be a person you would not mind spending 12 hours working closely with on a project. It's not always easy to stay calm, patient and well-humoured in a stressful industry, but I believe it to be crucial. This has aided me in commanding respect from my colleagues, a vital tool when managing a large number of sub-contractors.
