Responsible for the completion of assigned complex and or long term Outside Plant Fiber Engineering and construction projects as well as budgetary and scheduling requirements. Directs and initiates, performs and coordinates splicing activities necessary to provide design, analysis, implementation, support, maintenance, operation and change management services for telecommunications systems and networks to meet end user needs. The job requires in depth knowledge of fiber administration and splicing best practices. It also requires excellent problem solving and trouble resolution skills. Ability to develop unique solutions in areas where no precedent has been established. Attention to detail a must. Responsible for the overall fiber administration and splicing of the FiberNet Metro and Long Haul networks. Provide Fiber Ring Design Packages. Manage splicing and testing of network to meet customer and FiberNet due dates. Economical and appropriate material selection. Accurate record recording and updates. Close coordination with other FN PM's to ensure deliverables are met. Assist in fiber restoration efforts. Overall accountability for the on time on budget delivery of splicing activities. Define critical project milestones and ensures deliverables are met. Direction and scheduling of all splicing. Developed reporting such as Fiber Utilization, Fiber Exhaust, Network Mileage, cable tax reports and develops and provides budgetary and project schedule reporting.• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft office suite to include excel, access, PowerPoint, Word, and Microsoft CRMAdditional software includes knowledge and daily use of ACAD, Arcview GIS, MapInfo, and other related GIS and Mapping programs.

Works on extremely complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an evaluation of intangible variance factors. Exercises independent judgment in developing methods, techniques, and evaluation criterion for obtaining results.
