Assist in the training of junior personnel. Perform duties associated with monitoring and control of the mainframe systems to ensure 24/7 availability. Maintain a shift log of all hardware failure, job abends, significant events, service calls and problem escalation. Create a problem record for each STC, job or hardware failure; document the date and time along with details of the escalation and resolution of each problem. Operate, troubleshoot, and escalate for repair all peripheral equipment such as high-speed laser printers, robotic tape systems. Problem Management Administration: troubleshoot, performed triage on problem mainframe applications; escalate problems when necessary per SOP. Document resolution information in helpdesk problem tracking software for future use if problem should be repeated.

Perform all duties associated with the monitoring and control of the IBM 4341 - DOS/VSE systems during production processing. Also ensuring 24/7 availability. Maintain a shift log production processing, hardware failure, job abends, significant events, service calls and problem escalation Operate, troubleshoot, and escalate for repair of all peripheral equipment such as IBM impact printers, 3420 IBM tape drives, system consoles and all other mainframe attached hardware, stand-alone telephone banking and ATM systems.
