As the first hire and technology lead of the company, I spearheaded the product development group, developing it to a cross-functional team of ten professionals. One of my chief accomplishments was launching the first three versions of the company's flagship product "NeatReceipts". The product jump-started the company and generated $22 million in annual sales as well as receiving numerous product awards and customer accolades. Orchestrated, led, architected, and coded a total of 3 software products. Provided hands-on management of software development teams of up to twelve staff across US, India, and China. Served as lead decision maker on product feature sets, development languages, platforms, databases, third party components, and general product architecture. Directed development of sprint schedules, features sets, user stories, workflows, and product rollout. Managed staff development functions, spanning recruiting, team building, mentoring, and daily oversight. Partnered with GM and VPs to create product roadmaps, features, and rollout schedules. Created development budgets. Managed intellectual property group.

Hired as the technical leader for the company’s first division dedicated exclusively to developing web-based learning systems. Hired, managed, and mentored cross-functional development staff of six IT professionals. Led development of company’s first interactive, customizable web-based learning tool, “IQNet”. Performed hands-on development, architecting and database design. Led staff development, requirements gathering and design sessions. Partnered with senior management to analyze project risks, costs, timelines, and product feature sets. Managed and negotiated contracts with third party vendors for licensing of components.
