My role as the Construction Executive (CE) is to be a bridge between the Labor Leader/Foreman and the Project Executives. I worked with the field team to preplan work, coordinate with safety, provide accurate forecasting and ensure standards/procedures are followed. I also worked with Project Executives to understand current manpower availability, project specific issues that affect safety, productivity and overall marketing strategy for the group. I also hae a sales component that will fluctuate due to amount of revenue being executed by the group, relational RFP’s and any assistance the Account Executives may need due to RFP volume.

On an annual basis, I sat down with all major vendors on shop materials and/or jobsite commodity materials to verify Hermanson’s everyday pricing, will-call pricing, delivery fees, any/all re-stocking fees/charges, etc.For project bulk buys and/or multiple project bulk buys, I obtained the most competitive pricing based upon quantities from Estimating, Detailing, and/or Project Management for a specific project or multiple projects. All terms, delivery fees, re-stocking fees, etc., shall be negotiated for a finite time frame or for the life of the project. Negotiated bulk buy T&Cs are turned over to the Purchasing Buyer to implement thereafter.For project-specific unique materials or equipment, obtained several quotes (no less than three) based upon the information from Estimating, Detailing, Engineering, and/or Project Management, and presents a pricing matrix to the Project Manager for vendor selection and releasing directions. Upon vendor selection, directs the Purchasing Buyer to process the purchase order.
