EIIA provides insurance and risk management solutions to higher education institutions rooted in a religious tradition. As Executive Director, I oversee Property and Professional Liability placement for the program along with the managing the claims group.

Account Principal dedicated to McDonalds. Awarded "Dedicated Account Manager of the Year" in 2015. Work with claims adjusters and employees within McDonald's to ensure specific service instructions are followed to manage and close claims. Provide Risk Management consulting to assist in the prevention and management of workers compensation and general liability claims. Develop and provide metrics to ensure the program is reaching the annual goals and objectives set by the team.

Responsible for property casualty insurance purchasing and management.

Guild Insurance Agency works from two angles. We provide wholesale insurance to independent agents in the areas of vacant property, liquor liability, dealer open lot, tow truck operators, and other hard to place exposures. In addition to our wholesale coverage, we work on a direct basis with all types of businesses. Not only do we provide comprehensive insurance coverage at a low price, but we act as an outsourced risk manager to help businesses to manage other aspects of their operations and affect their bottom line.

The Learning Care Group bought La Petite Academy in 01/07. Worked closely with general counsel, human resources, training, licensing, finance/accounting, facilities, and others to develop comprehensive risk management program. Purchased and administered property/casualty insurance, including general liability, automobile, workers compensation, property, directors and officers insurance, as well as others. Workers compensation was run through Bermuda based Rent-a-Captive, later converted to high-deductible program. Oversaw group responsible for workers compensation, safety, and administrative assistance. Collaborated with third party administrator and outside counsel in defense of claims for all lines of coverage. Coordinated with actuaries to develop proper reserving based upon loss history and existing programs to create realistic ultimate loss picture.Merged insurance programs of La Petite and Learning Care Group due to acquisition. Decreased cost of risk from about $21,000,000 to $17,000,000 due to decreased premiums and expected losses. Initiated workers compensation programs for California (CA MPN) and Texas (TX HCN). Wrote insurance/safety programs, including student accident prevention training, bloodborne pathogens program and training, hazard communication program and training, and transportation policy. Organized and developed certificate of insurance management program for outside vendors. Coordinated with general counsel and procurement to develop model contract template, including proper insurance language and requirements. Developed safety assessment program and new employee orientation for staff and district managers.

La Petite was bought by The Learning Care Group 01/07

a captive program that insures over 50% of the YMCAs throughout the country. Provided general liability, property, vehicle, workers' compensation, umbrella, and directors and officers' coverage to YMCAs. Served as risk management resource for YMCA of the USA, answering calls regarding insurance, risk management, safety, OSHA, etc. Oversaw 37 risk management consultants throughout the country. Met with potential clients to promote the program and assess their operations. Consulted with TPA on claims administration, handling, and settlement. Developed itineraries and resources for consultations and provided support for them throughout the year. Presented at conferences and meetings regarding risk management and insurance. Acted in development of standards, guidelines, and training modules/videos for all programs. Created model policies, newsletter items, and other resources for YMCA. Partnered with underwriting in analysis of losses and risk control techniques undertaken by existing/potential clients.

Developed and implemented a comprehensive Risk Management Program involving 30+ YMCA locations in the Chicagoland area. Purchased and administered property/casualty insurance for association, including general liability, automobile, workers compensation, property, directors and officers insurance, and others. Managed all claims within self-insured retention programs for property, general liability and automobile claims. Collected and analyzed general liability incident reports.Worked with third party administrators and counsel in defense of general liability claims. Coordinated with adjusters for other claims over retention level. Conducted risk management, van driver, OSHA, and other safety training. Reconciled insurance programs on a monthly and annual basis. Developed and maintained $2,000,000 insurance budget for 40 centers in association with $100,000,000 in revenues. Performed safety inspections and program audits for all centers. Reviewed contracts and hold harmless agreements. Established risk management program. Wrote insurance/safety programs for association vehicles, property coverage, emergency procedures, and center evacuation plans. Instrumental in reducing yearly insurance premiums more than $175,000 and losses more than $1,000,000.

Served as loss control representative for back of the yards risk management (BYRMA) workers compensation fund in Illinois. Facilitated seminars on safety program development. Inspected buildings and investigated accidents. Wrote safety programs and made recommendations for insureds. Acted as liaison between regional office and clients for claims and billing.
