Freetown, Western Area, Sierra Leone

I carried out a comprehensive analysis of the production processes, identifying the need for retooling and adjustments to labor requirements for mass production. Following this, I issued a detailed report on my observations. Using SolidWorks, I designed and converted individual parts for new stove products into G-code. Additionally, I fine-tuned the CNC plasma cutter with new settings to achieve precise cutting and identified spare parts that needed to be procured.

I developed and implemented the company’s CSR and media strategy while recruiting, building, and managing a team of four at Blackstar Rail Ltd. I oversaw the preparation of RAMS and LCC programs, as well as RAM technical reports, including RAM analysis and logs for Siemens and Hitachi Rail. My responsibilities also included planning and managing RAMS for railway systems, rolling stock, CBTC, and ETCS signaling, including command and control systems. Additionally, I conducted FMEA, FMECA, FTA, RCA, MTBF, MTTR, and RCM analyses for Siemens.

I planned and managed the reliability, availability, maintenance, and safety (RAMS) for railway systems, including rail tracks, rolling stock, and command and control systems like CBTC and ETCS signaling. My role involved managing an engineering team, performing data analytics, and preparing RAMS and LCC program plans to outline the reliability, availability, maintenance, and security objectives of the railway systems. I conducted Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Failure Mode, Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA), and Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) on train systems. Additionally, I participated in project management discussions and reporting, monitored the reliability and maintenance of systems during commissioning and warranty periods, and produced reports on system performance.I identified and reported systems that did not meet program objectives, assisting the Chief Engineer with corrective action plans and ensuring compliance with RAMS contractual requirements and LCC program plans. My responsibilities also included producing technical railway safety case reports, maintaining detailed documentation on system failures, and developing hazard logs through HAZID. I prepared risk assessments and safety justifications for testing and migration phases, conducted reliability modeling and growth analysis, and engaged in research and development, including feasibility and cost-benefit analysis. Furthermore, I reviewed electrical schematics and mechanical engineering drawings and managed subcontractors working on behalf of the company.

Ghana

I managed engineering teams and provided training for staff and technicians on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). My work covered a broad range of responsibilities including welding and fabrication of various types, repair and maintenance of industrial machinery, and solar energy projects. I also specialized in designing and installing water filtration systems, handling plumbing tasks, and overseeing machinery installations. Additionally, I conducted engineering research to support and enhance project outcomes.

Ghana

Over the years, I have installed over 100 solar-powered water systems, managing up to 270KW in power capacity. My responsibilities included handling electronic wiring, installing solar modules, setting up Grundfos solar pumps, and performing plumbing work. Additionally, I trained quality controllers throughout this process. I was also involved in the manufacture of manual water well drilling tools and equipment, where I scheduled production to meet targets and ensured adequate stock of raw materials. My role extended to training workshop technicians in the use of specialized production tools and GMP methods, overseeing daily workshop operations to ensure tasks were completed safely and efficiently, and maintaining all workshop assets. I adhered to health and safety procedures, prepared reports to document production activities, and inspected completed work to meet quality standards. I also took on miscellaneous tasks as needed to support the company’s ongoing success, as directed by headquarters.
