Second Navigating Officer on the UK's last Aircraft Carrier. Conducting training and mentoring of bridge team, and assisted in successful completion of Operational Sea Training with a very junior team.

Provided training and quality assurance of 270 people with regards to fire fighting, damage control, and chemical/biological response. Planned and executed the material maintenance and movement programme during a multimillion pound refit period.

Provided short term (3-9 weeks) planning for two vessels tasked with unit and sovereign water security during a period of heightened tension following the second Gulf War. Liaised with Army, Air Force and Civilian authorities to provide a coherent strategy for security of Cyprus 'sovereign base areas' on the maritime flank. Highlights include the creation of a database to record regular use of local waters, including visual recognition.

Widely regarding as one of the most challenging jobs in the Royal Navy, deployed on regular patrols in operational waters. Conducted short term (3-6 Week) detail planning of unit's programme, and trained and monitored other members of the bridge team. Highlights include providing security command platform during Trafalgar 200 celebrations.

Joined Britannia Royal Naval College after being awarded sponsorship through A-Levels by the RN. Achieved highest marks on professional course and a recommend to be given one of the most challenging first jobs in the Service.
