Role provided a vast array of day-to-day challenges. Third party vendor of high quality IT equipment, software and peripherals, provided solutions for all backgrounds, requirements and demographics. Whilst the Apple brand has a more specific demographic than other IT vendors, then current market trends brought the product to a wider audience.Responsible for driving sales in a low margin environment (circa 4 points) whilst cross selling add-ons to ensure a profitable and viable business whilst maintaining and ensuring that the Apple brand is kept at as high a profile as possible.The primary function is to drive sales, but also to decant other opportunities within the business to other department’s out with remit, such as repairs and contracted services.Other Day to day responsibilities include mentoring staff, controlling stock levels, handling technical matters and keeping up to speed with any and all aspects of the Apple Product Range. APP rated, APR trained and highly proficient in both sales, admin and technical follow up. Desk Based Account Manager dealing with Major accounts, principally in the banking sector but with coverage in the ICE sector as well. Key responsibilities involved managing pricing for significant hardware rollouts, protecting margin, managing supply chain, organizing Professional Services and managing the Reseller Relationship in an indirect sales model whilst working closely with the Field Account Manager to ensure that each part of the business was presenting the same message at all levels of client interaction.Key Achievements:• Largely responsible to the Dec-Alpha transition away from NT to 2K. (Managed transition from around 90% of the client base, moving the clients from the recently unsupported OS to the new Win2000 platform. Significant financial implication for the client needed a delicate touch.• Managed rollout of International Stock exchange workstations for major national bank to ensure integrity of build across Americas, EMEA and Asia Pacific• Design and deployment of sizeable backup solution to International Bank to include on-site and remote DR facility with multiple redundant failover
