My 30-year tenure in San Antonio ISD spanned from a teaching role to an instructional coordinating role to three roles in central office. During this time I had the opportunity to develop my skills in student instruction, adult training, program and project management, customer service, communication, collaboration and problem-solving.I had a valuable and enjoyable time serving two roles at SA Youth: site coordinator and then curriculum specialist. When the opportunity came to translate many of these skills to the great outdoors, I jumped at the chance. Now I have the privilege to serve the community at Friedrich Wilderness Park and other of the city's Natural Areas with environmental education programming. As a bonus, I get to see many SAISD and SA Youth staff and students on field trips to Friedrich.
