As a visionary CEO, fulfilling in a highly commercial role for the last decade has been instrumental in growing Oman Sail into an award-winning sports company (No.1 nationally) and the leading promotional arm for Oman’s Ministry of Tourism, with an elite sailing team that is breaking world records, winning gold medals in Asia. This has resulted in the National Team being the top in Asia which should result in the first-ever Olympic Qualification for Oman across any sport. Achieved this by shaping and operationalised successful strategies and initiatives which have helped Oman Sail reached its strategic goals of:✯ Commercialising the business by securing major sponsorship deals & diversifying with new subsidiaries✯ Establishing the sailing sport from grassroots to Omanis winning on the world stage✯ Promoting Oman as a tourism destination via media, becoming an event host & creator ✯ Reinstating the maritime eminence of Oman✯ Attaining its CSR, Omanisation, Equality, Diversity & Legacy Agendas

Appointed on a one-year contract to work closely with the owners of a well-known dinghy brand; shaped and implemented a successful commercial plan and a new sales & distribution model which enabled this dynamic company to expand its global reach and further strengthen the P&L. During this time also worked with Volkswagen designing and project managing their sponsorship programs in sailing in the UK to strengthen the “consideration to purchase a VW Touareg” as a 4X4; conceptualised and led the successful launch and delivery of the Volkswagen Touareg King of Cowes.

Over a decade, continually progressed into roles with increasing levels of strategic influence and P&L accountability in a privately-owned business whose focus is sales and marketing of sailing boats for the racing and leisure market, particularly renowned for the ‘Laser’ - an Olympic Class for single-handed sailing athletes. Propelled organic growth by spearheading product development, diversification and distribution. Delivered inorganic growth by leading M&A activity, acquiring and successfully integrating Vanguard Sailboats in the US, while restructuring and identifying $multi-million synergies for the new group.Trebled annual sales revenues, delivering a £multi-million P&L and sustainable double-digit net profits by end of tenure.
