Integrate 30,000 cars into existing 25,000 car legacy fleet. Lead weekly shop network calls to ensure SMBC expectations are communicated to repair networks. Manage combined fleet during shop maintenance across 70+ facilities.Plan and manage 3,000+ annual tank car shoppings for regulatory compliance. Coordinate between internal sales team, mechanical officers, major shop network sales representatives, plant managers, 3rd party maintenance management teams, and the customer's personnel to execute on the shopping program. Select the optimal location within the approved shop network considering negotiated price agreements, lessee freight implications, while monitoring cycle times to both reduce out of service time and rental abatement. Leverage vendor relationships to secure materials more quickly such that cycle times are met. Drive total average compliance shoppings down to sub-60 day turns including jacketed + lined cars.Strengthen relationships with lessees to work towards a common goal to clear any outstanding billing disputes. Resolve disputed items including but not limited to HM216B inspections, coil tests, valve replacement / maintenance, and linings. Significant efforts to model compliance plan with breakouts for volume, expense, capitalization, deferrals, and abatement expected by month and account. Budget followed by monthly reviews of actual spend and volumes against approved plan.
