INITIAL SUCCESS OR TOTAL FAILURE! This is the motto of a unique and dedicated community that I am proud to be part of - Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD). I retired from active duty in the world's most feared fighting force as a Master Gunnery Sergeant of Marines. During my nearly 22-yr career, I deployed six times to scenic Iraq and Afghanistan. Not content to just take in the picturesque scenery, I disarmed nearly 1000 Improvised Explosive Devices as well as destroyed over one million pounds of enemy ordnance. I also was one of the first responders on the ground for the humanitarian relief efforts associated with the Christmas 2004 Indian Ocean Tsunami. In 2008 I was working an incident in Fallujah, Iraq when an IED detonated severely wounding me. Fortunately, I was medevaced Bethesda, MD where I endured over 80 surgeries in order to not only stay on active duty but to one day return to combat. In 2012 those efforts paid off with a sixth combat tour to Afghanistan. Upon retirement I was looking to give back to the Veteran Community and through a Marine EOD friend came across a perfect opportunity in JDog Junk Removal. At JDog Junk Removal, United, a Military Veteran Partners Company, our mission is to EMPOWER, SERVE and PROTECT.
