Engaged in the assembly and testing department of S.A.L,Southtrim autoclaves were involved in the entire design and build of different sized autoclaves for commercial industry use. The components of the build that I was involved in was the power supply and electronic control panel wiring assembly.This was a team effort involving two apprentices,two mature assembly personell,and one assembly supervisor including myself.I was also expected to test output parameters of the finished panels,diagnose and fault-find down to component level,and repair and rectify them where possible using electronics test instruments.When this was not possible I was expected to join the assembly team.The production rate of the products depended on customer demand which always seemed very high due to the extent that overtime was always expected.

I was employed as a Technical Services Engineer following my recent successful completion of the B/tech higher National Diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering at Pond street Polytechnic in SHEFFIELD.I worked in the T.E.S.Department on a six months trial when their technical services department was overloaded with a backlog of technical reports to write up and assess various products and services from different electrical companies.As it turned out this was the perfect stepping stone to becoming fully self employed.
