SSSART is a 999 emergency voluntary organisation working for and on behalf of the North Wales Police. The team covers one of the largest areas for a mountain rescue team in North Wales. The police call on SSSART when they get a 999 call for someone in distress in the rural and mountainous areas of South Snowdonia, and this is where I would come in. I would set the ball rolling and organise everything, from getting the team members to the incident, to liaising with other agencies such as Police, Coastguard helicopter rescue, Search Dogs, or the Ambulance Service/Air Ambulance Wales.

The team chairman presides over the committee meetings, and ensures that decisions made by the Committee are acted upon. The chairman also works with the team leader to ensure that all guidelines and procedures are adhered to.

I thoroughly enjoyed my employment with Kvaerner Boving LTD until there was a major downturn in worldwide engineering construction projects.
