Test method development for new product introduction including measurement systems analysis along with recipe development for automated inspection of optical film. Lead visual and functional analysis for new product introduction to include Keyence confocal analysis. During the Covid-19 pandemic I volunteered to lead the installation of the QC lab for N95 respirator scale-up. Involved in scale-up from start-up to production of over 1,000,000 respirators per day. At no time was the lab a constraint on production. Also trained lab and production personnel in equipment operation and visual respirator inspection. Quality lead for automotive light control film including the development and testing of thermal vibration fixtures in collaboration with engineering teams in Asia.

Lead standardization of medical device process validation for Division with plants throughout North America and Europe. Work included establishing consistent protocols for installation, operational and performance qualifications, risk analysis and mitigation and development of statistically based sampling plans along with acceptance criteria. Knowledge of ISO 13485, 14971 and 11607. Sharing best practices and growing Division network through SharePoint site.

Process and Product Engineer for film manufacturing Division. Experience in web handling, wet and dry film lamination, slitting, process improvement and new product introduction. Supported micro-replication coating in the US and inspection in Asia. Further experience with automated film inspection and recipe development. Authored several IP submissions which were approved and installed in plants throughout Korea and China resulting in significant cost savings.
