About David Gronbach

I graduated from law school with certifications in environmental and international law, having studied abroad at the University College of London. After internships with the State Department of Environmental Conservation, United States Environmental Protection Agency, and the Appellate Division for the New York Supreme Court, Second Department, I worked at a law firm with offices in both Westchester and Manhattan performing transactional/regulatory work on the construction and sale of coop/condominium developments and in the litigation department, including product liability and defective vaccine litigation. In New York, I was responsible for the prosecution and defense of appeals in the New York Supreme Court, Appellate Division, First and Second Departments. After moving to Connecticut, I worked at a Hartford insurance defense firm representing doctors and commercial entities in both state and federal court.I became partner in a local law firm managing the litigation department. I later joined my wife's law practice specializing in Special Education Law. I took two years off from practicing to become the Mayor of my town, New Milford, CT, although my legal background was put to use on a daily basis on a wide range of governmental matters. I am again practicing as an attorney and consulting on various governmental/regulatory issues. I am admitted in Connecticut and New York state courts; Connecticut Federal Court, the E.D. of Michigan, and the United States Supreme Court.
