Senior Construction Accountant \ Risk AdministratorSwire Properties Sep 2011 - Nov 2018Hong Kong, CnI was responsible for creating and managing an OCIP program, including workers comp, for the billion dollar construction of the 9 acre Brickell City Centre in downtown Miami. The project included a 40 floor hotel, two 14 floor office buildings, two 46 floor condo buildings, a 4 level retail mall with 125 retail tenants, all of which sits on top of two levels of underground parking. During peak construction there were over 3,000 men per day working on the construction site. In addition I was responsible for creating and managing both a contractor's pollution and owner's pollution wrap-up program, a builders's risk program, and an OPPI program for the project. I worked very closely with the contractor's risk department to ensure the project was a financial success from an insurance standpoint. I was also responsible for reviewing and processing the contractor's monthly billings with for several years during construction averaged between $30 to $40 million per month. I also reviewed and processed many owner subcontractor and consultant billings each month in addition to my role as a construction accountant for several large owner projects where we acted as our own general contractor. -
