Merging a passion for the ocean, boating and travel, David serves as a Charter Consultant for Blue Water Yachting, formerly CU Yacht Charters, in Fort Lauderdale, FL and Newport, RI. In this capacity, David is responsible for connecting private clients with luxury power and sailing yachts for ocean exploration and recreation in the most exotic destinations and cruising grounds worldwide.

Having worked with several ocean conservation and education nonprofits, maritime history nonprofits, and the 1992 and 1996 America's Cup in San Diego, I enthusiastically accepted the role of interim Vice President of Development for Ocean Institute following a capital campaign feasibility study by Vantage. With an expanding professional Development Office team and a motivated volunteer Board of Directors and Development Committee, we transformed every aspect of individual, foundation and corporate philanthropic engagement at Ocean Institute in order to enrich the lives of as many California children as possible. In 2018 Ocean Institute earned a $1 million grant from the Sahm Family Foundation to bring hands-on shark education, propelled by the latest research and conservation priorities, to students, teachers and families. A nationally-respected land preservation organization (representing Portsmouth, Middletown, and Newport, RI)• Responsible for both a multi-faceted annual giving program and co-managing a $20 million Campaign for Living Land • Restructured his development staff, managed a record-breaking annual appeal, launched the organization's planned giving program, and secured funds for the campaign's land acquisition projects to include the Sakonnet Greenway Trail.

• Responsible for reviving Battleship Cove's annual giving, capital improvements program, and assuming the management of the overall marketing and advertising for this naval history museum and veterans memorial. • With national spokespeople, Emily and Dominic DiMaggio, created the annual Victory at Sea 12-Meter Regatta and Gala into a high profile fundraising event. • In collaboration with the Education Director and Raytheon Integrated Defense Systems, David co-designed and administered the RITE Program (Raytheon Inspiring Technology Education), an initiative that earned this Raytheon division a Jade Award for community service. • Facilitated the establishment of the Battleship Cove Community Boating Program for Fall River's underprivileged youth.

• Responsible for investor relations, a multi-million dollar real estate rehabilitation project, rental operations, and the marketing and advertising for the new Bristol Marine boatyard and marina.
