School or Electrical Engineering and Telecommunications- Development of Scalable Interactive Video (SIV) software framework towards military standardisation. The SIV (Scalable Interactive Video) software is a framework developed in C++ providing a diverse range of tools for spatial scalability, temporal scalability, SNR scalability as well as spatio-temporal accessibility, within a unified framework based around an adaptive 3D wavelet transform structure- Developed floating point processing to cater for higher bit-depth data, and built 64 bit version to work with 64 MPels per frame or more- Report comparing mesh-based motion models and block-based models, and the use of an intelligent client-server paradigm- Investigating the use of different motion models for large volume imagery to improve efficiency and accuracy- Reviewer for “Speech Communication” Journal – A publication of the European Association for Signal Processing (EURASIP) and of the International Speech Communication Association (ISCA)- Editing and reviewing student’s PhD theses
