My career has been very diverse exposing me to supervising front line Avionic Maintenance Teams, providing Software Supportability Advice & Guidance to MoD Engineering Authorities and the management, calibration & servicing of Test and Measuring Equipment for over 145 inventories at RAF Marham (and associated Operations).During my career I have spent 11 years as a Producer (including Technical Training), 6 years as an Avionics Maintenance Team Leader and 11 years as a Manager of Avionic Maintenance Team Leaders.Educational Qualifications include a Post Graduate Diploma (PGDip) in Software Engineering (MSc level) from Oxford University at Distinction, Higher National Diploma in Computing from City College Norwich, Higher National Certificate in Computing from City College Norwich and an National Certificate in Electrical Engineering from the RAF School of Technical Training.Professional Qualifications include PRINCE2, ITIL, CMMi, X700 in Quality Auditing and Managing Safely.I'm ready for a second career; and the challenges involved. My STEM Ambassador work has reinvigorated my passion for all aspects of Science, Technology and Engineering and has broadened my awareness of possibilities within the Industry.

Raf Marham

• SPoC and engineering manager for high value reconnaissance system on MoD Operations. • Prioritised and supervised all maintenance activities undertaken by a specialist team to ensure all tasks were completed to engineering authority specifications and deadlines. • Mentored subordinates and provided guidance with academic and vocational aspects of their personal development. Acted as a reporting officer for subordinate annual appraisals. • Managed the discipline and general welfare of team members both in the UK and overseas, whilst on Operations, to ensure high standards of behaviour and personal wellbeing. • Ensured compliance with current Health & Safety, QA, Safety Health Environment Fire (SHEF) and Security Regulations by auditing processes, arranging training, maintaining a compliance matrix and communicating policies and procedures. • Inspected maintenance documentation to ensure accurate compilation and correct input into the asset management system to facilitate routine servicing and trend analysis. • Liaised and communicated with Engineering Support Authorities and end users to ensure the aircraft assets were available to meet operational commitments. • Ensured the availability of serviceable tools, test equipment and suitably qualified and experienced personnel by auditing, inspecting and monitoring resources.

• Managed the Test and Measuring Equipment Cell (TMEC) which included combination RAF and civilian personnel. The role included responsibility for Welfare, Health and Safety. • Liaised with Project Teams, Engineering Authorities, civilian contractors and external agencies in support of the calibration and maintenance of Test and Measuring Equipment. • Managed 145 Test Equipment inventories for RAF Marham and associated Operational commitments. This included logistics of equipment between RAF and external agencies. • Acted as a focal point for RAF Operations to manage and supply all Test Equipment. • Produced monthly Key Performance Indicator (KPI) statistics related to TME calibration and maintenance for Station Executives at RAF Marham and deliver briefings as necessary.• Managed the TMEC database, known as TE Track, to ensure all information regarding calibration dates, maintenance dates, location and inventory owner for TME is accurate. • Carried out maintenance and calibrations on Test Equipment as and when required. • Responsible for coordinating all maintenance documentation raised by TMEC.

Raf Wyton/Abbeywood

• Provided SME advice and guidance as a Software Supportability Systems Analyst to Defence Equipment & Support (DE&S) and other MoD/Government agencies. • Conducted software supportability Governing Policy (GP) 2.1 assessments for MoD project teams in support of the projects Defence Investment Approvals Board submissions. • Involved in the development of software and associated software support management requirements within the JSP, JAP and the Support Solutions Envelope.• Provided advice and guidance to Project/Delivery Teams in the application of DEF STAN 00-600 to the procurement & Through-Life Support (TLS) of software intensive systems throughout the CADMID/T acquisition lifecycle for MoD equipment procurement projects. • Involved with the design and delivery of the MoD’s Software Introduction to Service (SITS) course, which is available to all MoD staff at all levels, delivered at MoD Abbey Wood.• Represented Project/Delivery Teams at Customer Working Groups and Project meetings. • Integrated with Systems of System Architecture (SoSA) Team, requiring sound awareness.• Administered and adapted business processes for Software Support Team management.
