I'm responsible for the coding database elements to be consumed by the front-end and back-end developers for the application. It's all SQL all the time, except when it is diagnostics, tuning, data modeling, or something else.

Managed the transition to Web-based applications development as the Leader of Product Management. My role included quarterly meetings with our Product Advisory Board comprised of a dozen representatives from our biggest enterprise clients.Other responsibilities include User Interface Design and Proto-Typing, Data Modeling, DDL development, Software Integrations from TRM to our partner applications for Email and MRM.

Supported Implementation and Sales Teams for our Marketing Automation applications. This role included producing the technical documents and conducting training that our field teams needed in order to make implementation decisions to best meet the needs of the client. This role required a deep understanding of the capabilities of our applications.

Managed Implementations for clients of our Marketing Automation software. I was the team lead and primary point of contact for client within the implementation team. My duties included managing resources as well as technical implementation tasks. Data Model and Data Systems analysis played a big part in making implementations successful and this became a bit of a specialty of mine.

My responsibilities began as a simple contract programmer but grew so that I was the principle developer for 3 of our 4 Manufacturing Data Collection systems that we coded and implemented in various 4th generation languages. We developed software that collected data throughout the manufacturing facility in real-time through a variety of handheld and stationary devices. My job included coding, documentation, writing test cases, and performing installations. It was a small and highly specialized set of applications. Primarily, we developed in Pro-IV, Progress, Perl, and Java. There was some even more niche tech involved with respect to programming the devices in IRL and C. In 1999, I was promoted to the Leadership Team and relocated to Melbourne, Australia to open a new division. It was very successful but was as far as I could go with the small company. Show less

I was hired out of college to implement an MRP system for this small division of McDonnell-Douglas Corporation. As the original member of the IT staff my responsibilities included anything remotely computer related such as CAD/CAM system support, Account system support, CNC system support, and MRP system support. I also wrote in-house applications for Time and Attendance, Accounts Payable, and general Reporting.

The job was about accurate and efficient data entry of golf-scores and calculation of handicaps. The commitment was to have all data that came in, entered, processed, and reprinted within an 8hr window. I also enjoyed hot-stamping membership cards and unloading trucks when new paper stock arrived. I eventually did some COBOL programming before leaving for a full time job elsewhere.
