Basin Expansion, Union Pacific Rail Relocation Phase II, among other works.

Under leadership of the Chicago Sports Commission, I developed and led Team made up of NFL Environment & Sustainability, City of Chicago Departments, Verizon Wireless, Pepsi Corp, Cargill Corp., University of Chicago, University of Illinois Sustainable Technology Center, BrightBeat, Recovery XChange, and local businesses to impact nine (9) program areas (Energy, Recycling, Food Waste, Job Training, Transportation, Procurement, etc.) to reduce environmental impact of the event and to leave a positive enduring impact on visitors from around globe. Successfully implemented the first sustainable tourism event (in Chicago)of its magnitude, and the very first sustainable NFL Draft. Program provided for: tree plantings, wildlife habitat restoration, carbon accreditation, renewable energy, food donation, and material reuse. Greening the NFL Draft along with Airports Going Green Conference (2014-1015), provided basis for the City of Chicago Sustainable Tourism Playbook, toward replicating effort and formalizing requirements for such in Chicago Tourism contracts with City Departments. Also to develop Case Study reporting event metrics and lessons learned.

** Oversaw environmental compliance for both O’Hare and Midway International Airports with Federal, State and Local laws including but not limited to: NPDES, NEPA, Part 150, IEPA Hazmat, MWRD, EA, CATEX, etc.** Lead development of the annual “Airports Going Green Conference” (2014 – 2016) with the AAAE, attracting 500+ attendees and 70+ speakers including USGBC CEO, Coca-Cola, National Geographic, FAA, UAL, and global key stakeholders** Led negotiations for “CDA MWRD Extraterritorial Agreement” for the OMP.** Negotiated 5- year extension of U.S. EPA 404 Clean Water Act Permit, facilitating (in part) for the continuation of the $9.5+B O’Hare Modernization Program** Initiated partnership with the Illinois Dept. of Commerce & Economic Development, Chicago Dept. of Aviation and the Illinois Prairie Research Institute Sustainable Technology Center, securing State grant funding toward effort** Formed consortium (Coca-Cola, Hudson News, UAL, MCR Polymers, Illinois Sustainable Tech Center)) of O’Hare Airport and regional/national stakeholders for the development of a comprehensive plastics recycling program for O’Hare Terminal One** Successfully implemented the first sustainable tourism event of its magnitude, NFL Draft Town, providing for tree plantings, wildlife habitat restoration, carbon accreditation, renewable energy, food donation, and material reuse
